Our Store -- Pick of the Litter
Whatever you’re looking for you’ll probably find it at the Pick.
The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA operates a resale store at 1127 Chula Vista in Burlingame just off Broadway and close to Highway 101 and Cal Train. It features various second-hand treasures including clothing, household items, furniture, art, jewelry, electronics, books, vintage and costume clothing, and a children’s department. All proceeds directly benefit the shelter animals at PHS/SPCA.
Hours of Operation
The Pick is open Monday through Saturday, 11 am to 6 pm and
Sunday, noon to 4 pm.
Shop Adopt Tuesday (50% off at the Pick)
Every third Tuesday of the month is Mobile Adoption Day at the Pick of the Litter. Come see adoptable animals and shop at the store, where everything is 50% off!
Donations
The Pick staff and volunteers would appreciate a call before bringing in your donation as we may be too full to accept donations. We accept furniture, clothing, housewares, collectibles, books, records, tapes, CDs, hardware, art, jewelry, toys and holiday decorations in saleable condition. The Pick can pick up entire estates or large amounts of furniture. We cannot possibly list all the items we can accept, but do want to list those items we do not accept, below, for your convenience. We know you want your donation to help the animals. The items we do not accept are ones that have proven not to sell at our store. They take up space and eventually require that we take them to the dumps and use donors’ funds to pay for disposal. Thanks for thinking of the animals! list of items
